Sarah + Seth’s wedding was nothing but spectacular! The vision for their ceremony was an intimate wedding with the backdrop of the mountains. With views of Gothic Mountain, Mt. Crested Butte, Teocalli Mountain, Whetstone Mountain and Strand Hill, they truly had the mountains surrounding them in all four directions! Their friends performed a very special sage-burning ceremony, using the sage that was natively grown from that land, to show respect to the land on which we stood on that day. Seth + Sarah also asked their guests to pass around their rings and pour their love into them before they placed them on each other’s hand. The storm clouds moved in but the rain held off until the conclusion of the ceremony. Their guests all danced to live guitar music and paraded together with their umbrellas to the ranch for more merry-making!
It was so evident that Seth + Sarah put a particular emphasis on crafting an amazing party for their guests. Having a deep appreciation for artisan food, it is no surprise they partnered with Crested Butte Personal Chefs and local farms to create the most delicious menu. With fresh local cheese plates, mouth-watering entrees, handcrafted pies, a full cocktail bar, and talented live music, their wedding celebration was perfectly executed! Special thanks to everyone who helped make the day so special for Sarah + Seth.
Lauren + Matt are originally from Midland, TX, but have been coming to Crested Butte, CO with their families ever since they were little. It is no surprise that they not only wanted their engagement photos in Crested Butte, but also get married in Crested Butte. We photographed their engagement session just two days before their wedding day! Despite some rain during their session, we had a great time laughing and sharing life together while capturing their beautiful personalities! With the rain, we decided to hop around town to different Crested Butte icons that make Crested Butte so sweet and charming! We got a little latte at Camp 4 Coffee, followed by some delicious homemade ice-cream from Third Bowl. Kendall (one of the owners of Third Bowl) was there and was super sweet and was thrilled to find out Lauren + Matt were doing part of their engagement photos at Third Bowl and gave us all free ice-cream! Thanks Kendall!
Andrea + Danny chose not to have their wedding on Saturday and Sunday because it’s traditionally a Sabbath, or rest day. And rather than a Friday, they decided on a Thursday wedding for an extended wedding celebration weekend! Andrea + Danny have dedicated their lives and their relationship to Jesus Christ and want their wedding day to represent truth, purity, and, above all else, love. With this being said, their wedding vision was highly laid back, rustic, bohemian, country, yet a classy fun barn party. There were hay bales, picnic blankets, picnic tables, mason jars, wild flowers, yard games, tractor rides, horse carriage rides, and lots of visiting and laughter. Their wedding was a blast and totally exuded their love for Jesus, their friends and family, and for each other.
John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
