The wedding/elopement day began with a 4:00am wake up call to launch the canoes at Schwabacher Landing for a sunrise surprise. Audra and Andrew had parallel stories in which they have both lost their dads, and their dads being influential figures in their lives. As a surprise, Audra had reached out to Andrew’s close families as well as her close families to write letters about their favorite memories about their dads, and they got to read these letters at the canoe for the first time. They then got to scatter their dads’ ashes from the canoe as a remembrance of their dads on their special day.

Audra really wanted her wedding at a log cabin because she grew up in one, so she rented a VRBO cabin, used it as a venue (with owners permission), as well as hired a personal chef to cook them a romantic vegan dinner.
